I have been practicing psychology for over a decade and have had the privilege of working with clients across the lifespan, from young children to older adults, with a particular focus on adolescents and adults. Over the years, I’ve worked with individuals, families, and groups in a variety of settings, including outpatient therapy, intensive outpatient programs (IOP), residential treatment, and inpatient hospitals. My clinical experience includes supporting clients through depression, anxiety, trauma, suicidal ideation, psychosis, life transitions, postpartum depression, substance use concerns, and complex relationship and family dynamics.
I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz (Go Banana Slugs!), where I was a member of the women’s soccer team. My time as a student-athlete sparked a lasting interest in performance, resilience, and the mental side of growth and competition. I went on to complete my master’s degree at Pepperdine University in Los Angeles, where I worked closely with children on the autism spectrum and those with developmental delays. Through this work, I received training in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) and provided services in both school-based and home-based settings.
I completed my doctorate in Clinical Psychology at William James College (formerly the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology) near Boston, Massachusetts. I was drawn to Boston for its strong academic community and the opportunity to gain broad, diverse clinical training. During my doctoral work, I trained in community mental health, college counseling centers, and residential and intensive outpatient substance abuse programs. I also worked as a project manager and counselor for a statewide mental health resource and referral helpline, helping individuals and families across Massachusetts access care during difficult times.
My final doctoral internship brought me to the Midwest, where I worked in one of the most underserved areas of Northwest Indiana while commuting from Chicago. This experience deepened my appreciation for accessible, compassionate care and allowed me to further develop my skills in psychological assessment, intensive outpatient treatment, and inpatient hospital work.
I feel grateful that my education and clinical training have taken me to Santa Cruz, Los Angeles, Boston, the Bay Area, and ultimately the Boise area. Living and working in these diverse communities has shaped not only my clinical approach, but also the way I show up with clients — with curiosity, humility, and respect for each person’s unique story.
